Enquiry
Tell us the scope and send the design or bill of quantities if you have one. We reply within two working days.

Site visit
A walk-through, measurement and assessment of the existing condition, site access and logistics.

Quotation
We provide an itemised quotation with quantities, unit prices and a completion date.

Contract and schedule
Scope, payment terms and deadlines are agreed, together with a schedule by work phase.

Execution and handover
Work proceeds to the schedule, with quality control throughout and handover of the accompanying documentation.

Open positions
We are building a permanent crew for projects in southern Croatia and welcome applicants from Croatia and from abroad. We are looking for people who know their trade and keep their word — from site managers to carpenters and crane operators.

We also hire nationals of non-EU countries. For selected candidates FORTE, as the employer, submits the application for the Croatian residence and work permit (dozvola za boravak i rad) and signs an employment contract under Croatian law.

Civil engineer — site manager
You run the site from handover of the works to final completion — organising the work, coordinating subcontractors and answering for the programme and the quality of what gets built.
What you will do
- Organising and running sites for residential, commercial and tourism buildings
- Coordinating subcontractors by trade and tracking their progress
- Following the construction programme and reporting to management and the client
- Keeping the site log and the book of measured works
- Checking execution against the main and detailed design
- Ordering materials and monitoring consumption
- Working with the supervising engineer, designers and inspectorates
- Preparing the documentation for technical inspection
What we are looking for
- Degree in civil engineering (MSc or BSc)
- Between 2 and 10 years of experience on site
- Confident reading of design documentation and construction details
- Working knowledge of Croatian building legislation, or the willingness to acquire it
- AutoCAD; MS Project or a similar scheduling tool is an advantage
- Category B driving licence
- English or Croatian at a working level
- Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers authorisation is an advantage, not a requirement

Site foreman
You lead the crew on the ground — allocating people and plant, checking the work against the drawings and holding the daily programme.
What you will do
- Directly leading the work crew on site
- Allocating people, plant and equipment to the daily programme
- Checking execution against drawings and construction details
- Issuing, tracking and safeguarding materials and tools
- Enforcing health and safety measures and order on site
- Reporting daily to the site manager
What we are looking for
- Secondary technical education in construction, or proven experience in the same role
- At least 3 years as a foreman or chargehand
- Confident reading of drawings and details
- Experience with reinforced-concrete structures and system formwork is an advantage
- Category B driving licence
- Basic English or Croatian for communication on site is an advantage

Formwork carpenter
You build formwork for reinforced-concrete structures — foundations, walls, columns and slabs, mostly with system formwork.
What you will do
- Building and erecting formwork for foundations, walls, columns, beams and slabs
- Working with system formwork and traditional timber formwork
- Propping and securing formwork before concrete is poured
- Striking formwork, cleaning it and preparing for the next pour
- Ancillary carpentry on roofs and temporary structures
What we are looking for
- Experience in carpentry work on site
- Ability to work to drawings and work independently
- Knowledge of system formwork is an advantage
- Willingness to work at height using the prescribed protective equipment
- Care for tools and consistent attention to safety

Tower crane operator
You operate the tower crane and are responsible for lifting and distributing material safely across the site.
What you will do
- Operating the tower crane in line with the manufacturer instructions
- Receiving, lifting and distributing material around the site
- Daily checks of the crane and keeping the required records
- Working with slingers and the foreman, by hand signals and radio
- Reporting any defect before work starts
What we are looking for
- Valid crane operator certificate — required
- Valid medical certificate for work at height
- Experience on tower cranes
- Consistent adherence to health and safety rules
- Reliability and punctuality on site
